The most common sight in Hanoi Old Quarter is that of streets packed with scooters, bicycles, and cars swarming around pedestrians like a school of fish. This is a narrow residential street split in the middle by a railway track. A high-speed train passes through twice a day, precariously close to the houses. Once used by the railway for the workers. The residents come from all walks of life. The mixture between old train streets and simple houses makes special features and color harmony for your perfect shots.

  • Best time to visit: If you want time to pose for your photos, choose time outside from 3:30 pm-7:30 pm everyday because this is the schedule that the train runs.

This lake is also set in the Hanoi Old Quarter. It is great to walk around, relax and enjoy a peaceful atmosphere that is difficult to find in this vibrant city. The most picturesque spots here is the Red Bridge, the Turtle tower and Ngoc Son temple. Although the lake is surrounded by the busy streets, it is a scenic spot used for engagement photos. And it is also the priority for foreigners to have photos that capture memorable experiences.

Right next to Hoan Kiem lake, this coffee shop is a nice instagrammable place in Hanoi, particularly for the youth. Especially, chairs, walls, and tables are covered in thousands of colourful posts that are written lovely messages from local and foreign visitors. You can imagine when you sip a cup of coffee, you can easily take new photos, then post in your Instagram.

It is decorated by beautiful murals featuring scenes from old Hanoi. It only opened as recently as February 2018 and quickly became a favourite spot for tourists and locals who enjoy art and history.
