Linh Ung Son Tra Pagoda is considered a meeting place of heaven and earth’s sacred air and people’s heart. The pagoda is located on the top of a mountain in Bai But, Son Tra Peninsula, Da Nang.
Linh Ung Bai But Pagoda was started construction in July 2004 and inaugurated on July 30, 2010.

The pagoda is at 693 meters above sea level, with an area of 20 hectares, on top of a mountain, one side is the sea. Linh Ung Beach is a complex of many items including the main hall, the ancestor’s house, the lecture hall, the library and etc. Linh Ung Pagoda is also known by the place with the highest Quan Am Buddha image in Vietnam.
People in Son Tra Peninsula recalled that, at the time of Minh Mang King (Nguyen Dynasty, XIX century), there was a Buddha statue from nowhere to drift on the sandbank here . Believing that was an auspicious sign, people here established a shrine for worship, from that, the region was stable and fishermen could work in peace during a long time. Since then, the sea waves have been quiet, the fishermen have been doing well, and since then, this place has been called ” Bai But”

After climbing all the stone steps on the path leading to the temple, at the entrance to the main hall of main gate is the Sakyamuni Buddha statue, on the right is Guan Yin Bodhisattva, and on the left is the Tripitaka Buddha, four Guardians and 18 Arhats are arranged in two rows of protection for the main hall. On the left is a 67m high Buddha statue, 35m lotus throne diameter considered the highest in Vietnam.

From the temple grounds, visitors can enjoy the panoramic view of the city, mountains and the sea around Danang. Far to the south is the Marble Mountains, Non Nuoc beach with long white fine sand.
Linh Ung Bai But Pagoda has now become an attractive tourist and famous landscape in Da Nang.
